Want to share someone's profile page? Whether they have a private or public account, you can share the link directly to another user by following the steps below:
Sharing Your Own Profile Page
Whether you're on Android or iPhone, tap profile.
From the profile page, tap Share Profile (beneath the profile picture or bio, depending on the profile settings).
From here you'll have access to a QR code, direct sharing options, copying a link to your clipboard, or downloading the share profile page to send to others.
Sharing Someone Else's Profile Page
Visit the profile you wish to share and tap the three dots on the top right corner.
Tap Share This Profile.
From here you'll be able to share the profile in the following ways:

Do I have to have a public account to share on Instagram?
No, you can still share your content to your Stories or to approved followers if you have a private account on Instagram. However, you'll only be able to share content off-platform if your account is public, otherwise users who click the link will receive an error message.
Does Instagram notify someone when you share their post?
No, sharing posts is private - but they can see the total share count via Instagram Insights. They just won't be able to see who specifically shared their content.
How to see your post Shares count on Instagram?
If you're the original account that posted the content, you can see your total Shares number via your Instagram Insights.
To access Insights, go to your profile and tap the three lines on the top right corner.

There is no way to directly share someone's profile picture on Instagram, aside from taking a screenshot and sharing it directly.
